At Kato Marine, we have always solicited our customer's ideas on the best way
to do things; it's how we learn, and how we improve. Below is another fine
example: With Kato davits properly installed, hoisting your davits out of
the water is easily done. However stopping the dinghy from moving and possibly
chafing is sometimes not that easy.
- A number of our customers suggested using tie down straps but the ratchets
involved were usually rusty in just months. Kato's Secure-It' Ratchets address
that problem - they are stainless steel for long lasting use.
- We have the thick webbing that is twelve feet long (for those who wish to
pass the webbing right around the dinghy).
- Customers have described many methods that they used to secure the dinghy
with ratchets and webbing, so we tried several ourselves. The one we liked the
most is pictured here - it stabilizes the dinghy fore & aft, horizontally,
and holds the dinghy level.
- Our
straps are designed specifically for use with davits; we have a loop sewn into
the ratchet portion that is designed to encircle a
stanchion.
Simply stated, rather than using multiple ropes to control the dinghy,
Secure-It's can make the job a cinch! |
