Kato's Winch davit has been developed for the heavier dinghy/motor
combinations that are becoming more common these days. They are
identical to the Island davit in dimensions so that they can be used in
pairs or with one Winch model davit and one regular Island model davit. The
Winch davit weighs in at 22 pounds (10 Kg.) each; it is provided with a 2:1
purchase leading to a Harken ST16 self tailing winch - this provides a 32:1
lifting ratio.

| Because this davit has such power it is no longer
necessary to upgrade to a 6:1 purchase if you have a heavy
dinghy. It is also not necessary to purchase a set of
cam cleats for the davit (usually a good idea when pulling
up heavy dinghies). The Winch davits can be purchased
singly or in pairs. |
